Champions on & off the field

Last day at Lowlands tournament is obviously sunny & beautiful..where the F have you been all my life mother nature….Last egg sandwich of the week…obviously it didn’t provide Anne with the energy she needed because she was the 1 and only person to be called out for a significant lack of hustle on the field…better not hold your breath for that MVP award gurl…but we won & that was grool and as respective team captain Sarah was willingly forced to chug a beer on the field in honor of our victory.  The last game was close but no question the best part was after the other teams best player got a yellow card she came off & one of these drunk girls dressed in pink who had been running on the field disturbing everything all day (awesome) yelled “open your gob” and poured beer down her throat…these people are my idols.  After our game we watched the guys win which was tiiiight but definitely the most memorable part was Jeff scoring a goal, running to the 50 yd line where 6 Dutch guys had run on the field & stood in bowling pin formation – Jeff pretended to roll a bowling ball & all of them fell down…I think we call that global teamwork.

After departing the fields Sarah and Anne went on a restaurant crawl aka went to get Mexican but only got chips & salsa & then across the street to Pad Thai….Jen had her 3rd go at Wok to Walk…go hard or go home right?  And for our last night in Amstydamed we decided to of course go to Chupitos & go out with a bang at amsterdammed.  Sarah, Anne, Bri & Libster all head out first but of course stop when they see 2 strikingly attractive gay guys tying up their boat that they just parked on the side of the canal.  Of course we beg, literally beg, them to take us on a short boat ride & after many pleas they finally broke down & agreed..probably because Sarah is so good looking and they knew the blue water would accent her blonde hair…lucky for Anne she got to tag along.  Anyway this boat trip was seriously awesome they took us all through the canals and gave us fruit juice & told us lots of stories about riding mopeds with gay lovers & doing wild drugs instead of wasting money on alcohol..you know..the simple things in life.  Of course we wanted to document our travels so the nice man driving offered to take a picture…naturally he started swerving a bit & before u know it we were tied up to the police boat getting breathalized…luckily he passed & we made it back in time to take some shots to the face at Chupitos.

Luckily after ordering over 50 euro of shots we convinced the bartender to play teach me how to dougie…FINALLY.  Anne took the crown as GP dancer of 2011 with her suspiciously good rendition of the dance…has she spent a little too much time with thug riders or does she just stand in front of the mirror every night in middle school when every other girl was invited to the slumber party…TBD.  On to Amsterdammed where we obvi danced the night away & got free cocktails..definitely the best way to bid adieu to the best bar in the city that never failed to provide nostalgic American beats…As today was Sunday and God wanted us to  be merry we did as he wanted us to do and finished off the night at the BK lounge….”O Lord, give us this night our drunk-eat burger.”
