First day of the big lax tournament…a time to prove ourselves…a time to be international champions…so naturally we wake up 4 minutes before departure time forgetting to pack any and all rain gear that would be the 1 and only necessity for the next 2 days. Luckily, for 3 extremely hung over & only ½ starving due to last nights burger king girls we managed to survive without food until went inside a hut to get refuge from the pouring rain only to find a hard boiled egg sandwich that changed our lives forever. Throughout the next three days this sandwich created friendships, happiness & high levels of delectable protein. To Anne it was an enigma, a sandwich consisting of all components she hated but combined…were the God to her glory, the crunk to her club…essentially…the chicken to the egg. Needless to say the rain f-ing blew & it poured until our last game when we were successfully able to eat sausage samwhiches and make moves to the dj booth to request anything but the blasting house music that literally was blaring throughout all of the fields. Anne was blessed enough to find a male suitor whom shared the name that burdened both of them….the man was so eager to get rid of the heinous name bestowed upon him that he gave her his name tag, thus urging Sarah to find one of her own…there were no men named sarah, but there was someone named Linus but Tim did not show up to work that day so his name tag was her destiny. After all of the trials & tribulations that Day 1 of Lowlands tournament brought upon us it did have it’s own way of giving back. That night there was another tournament party (obviously because every international lax player at this tournament could plow a 0.3 BAC and still manage to pick up a ground ball at 10am) So we walked 40 minutes to a huge boat in the harbor that housed everyone in the tournament. We pretty much got hammered from playin Zooma for 3 hours then raided the dance floor and had a dance off against some Dutch guys dressed in tigers…Jen might have tripped down the entire staircase leading up to the second level of the boat but I mean I’m sure none of the 400 people aboard noticed…
After docking we headed back to the red light district…cause too much prostitution is #neverenough
