Day 3: The Holy Matriphony

We had a free day in Amsterdam so we decided to wake up around 11 & go see our girl Anne Frank.  We waited in line for a good hour.  Legit they should move her house into the red light district there are more guys payin to get in her bedroom than any of the other prostys down there..hey girl wats up.  Her pad was ok I mean everything in there is fake and it doesn’t come furnished however the blackout shades would be a nice touch & there was some nice reading material...”at first I thought it was just a sad, handwritten book…then I realized it was your journal.”  If you haven’t seen bridesmaids yet u probably shouldn’t b reading this blog.  Ya but anyway Jen enjoyed the museum, Sarah and Anne were a little too hung over/ ADD / been there done that I share an equally small space with my huge roommate Tori at Richmond so I mean I feel her pain.  No but it was cool..and I’m trying to compensate for being so offensive…she seemed like she was a nice girl.  Zen we ate toasties, took a pic in front of the Heineken brewery and then had practice / Sarah watched while Anne and Jen played lax football..it was in a cool park though and there were stoners everywhere as well as a boot camp for out of shape 30 yr. olds and a dog named bubbles that was tryin to get involved.  After practice we got in our sporty so hip so ugly while Global players polo shirts and went to the red light district for a welcome party with 300 of our closest friends.  Luckily we immediately befriended a German soccer manager who quickly became 1 of my favorite people by ordering 18 beers at a time.  The bar was tiny though & although they were playing spice girls…we figured it was time to move on to bigger and more American things…so we went outside…immediately stumbled into a group of 18 American guys in a bachelor party and decided YUP.  We then walked the 4 miles with them to get back to our area where we went to several bars then of course Amsterdamed.  These guys were insane & all dressed in red shirts which Sarah meticulously tried to trade for & was successful only for about 20 minutes.  One of the guys in the bachelor party knew Jill Albee, our assistant coach from last year & had some pretty awesome stories to share.  This bachelor party was really pulling out all the stops with their custom shirts, groom to-do list & throwing cash money at the bar tenders for drinks all night so you can imagine the shock we felt when the next day we discovered it was in fact a fake bachelor party.  Looking back now, having a wedding in London on a Monday with an easter egg hunt proposal with 18 guys from the west coast 1 of which claimed to be from Harvard its pretty obvious that we are idiots.  But, it was an awesome night regardless & we would be seeing those guys for the next 3 days at the lax tournament…in the daylight..AHHHHHHHH.
